Northstar California Ski Information
We are looking forward to a great 2021/2022 ski season at Northstar California in Lake Tahoe! A surprise snow storm at the end of October allowed for Halloween skiing at some resorts. It was followed by a few weeks of warmer temperatures, so many ski areas that had planned to open for Thanksgiving are pushing back their opening dates.
Northstar California was scheduled to open on November 19th, but they are now holding off on announcing their opening date. The good news is that this week, temperatures got back down to freezing and local ski areas are busy making snow each night.
The forecast is calling for very little precipitation over the next 10 days, but there may be a chance for a few mountain dustings before the end of November. Early December shows a larger storm, so that may kick the season off to a great start.
Luckily, the snowmaking efforts and colder temperatures will certainly ensure that folks are skiing by the beginning of December.

Tahoe Film Fest
This is the 7th annual Tahoe Film Fest and it will take place December 2-5, with films being screened at Incline Village Cinema, Northstar Village Cinema and the Crystal Bay Casino Crown Room.
