Living in Tahoe Donner

The growth of online services has allowed many Bay Area residents the opportunity to live full time in Lake Tahoe. Rather than spend just a week of skiing or hiking in Lake Tahoe, many have decided to leave the congestion of city life to make a home in Lake Tahoe and Truckee.

One of the most popular neighborhoods that has seen a growth in Bay Area transplants is Tahoe Donner. You may wonder what it is like to live full time in the mountains? In 1993, I spent my first winter here and left Boulder to live here full time in 1995.  It was the best decision I ever made and I love introducing others to the mountain lifestyle!
