Truckee July 4th Celebrations

We are excited to have several events planned for the 4^th of July celebrations in Truckee:

Truckee Parade

The Truckee Chamber of Commerce is presenting the Truckee 4^th of July Parade this year with the theme: “There’s No Place Like Home.” Participants will be staging near the Truckee High School and the parade begins at 10am at the west end of town.

The parade will pass one and a half miles along Donner Pass Road, and into historic downtown Truckee. Donner Pass Road will be closed to traffic from 9am, with the parade ending around noon. The Town of Truckee Public Works Department will act as this year's Grand Marshall.

Beginning at 8am, free shuttles will be available in several Truckee neighborhoods to bring people downtown. These shuttles will serve Prosser, Sierra Meadows, Glenshire, Donner Lake, Tahoe Donner and Northstar.

All participants will be encouraged to display their best idea of what makes Truckee the best place to call home.

FireCracker Mile Race

The FireCracker Mile Race is a fundraiser that will support the Auburn Ski Club Training Center scholarship funds. The race will begin at the US Bank and end at downtown Truckee.

Registration begins at 7:30 and races will begin at 9:40am.

4TH OF JULY Fireworks | West End Beach

This year, guests can enjoy a day on the beach, listening and dancing to music. In addition to games and a BBQ, there will also be fireworks in the evening. Please note that only Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District Residents and Homeowners can purchase tickets.

Tickets can be purchased at the Community Recreation Center Main Office: 10981 Truckee Way.

Office Hours are Monday - Friday from 9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm. Closed Saturday & Sunday.

Tickets are not available online and tickets will NOT be sold at the gate. 

Proof of Residency

In order to purchase tickets, please provide ONE of the following, along with a photo ID at purchase: 

Drivers License with Address within the district  

Service/ Utility Bill (current) with Name and service address within the district  

Car Registration that includes an address within the district

Current tax bill or official lease agreement within the district.

THE LAST DAY TO PURCHASE TICKETS WILL BE ON JULY 3, 2023 During office hours.
